Courtney Whitney D.O. is a Board Certified sleep specialist at Whitney Sleep Center. Whitney Sleep Center, which has convenient locations in Plymouth, MN and Burnsville, MN, is fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. His staff of Registered Polysomnography Technologists, Registered Respiratory Therapists and nurses have years of experience in the field of sleep medicine. Their mission is to optimize sleep and facilitate the patients’ pursuit of optimal health, quality of life, safety and productivity.

Dr. Whitney attended medical school in Pomona, California at The Western University of Health Sciences. He then completed 3 years of residency in Internal Medicine at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He practiced Internal Medicine for 12 years before dedicating his practice exclusively to sleep medicine. He works in close coordination with primary care physicians and specialists to optimize sleep and observe his treatment’s impact on mental health, cardiovascular health, immunity and metabolism. Because of his staff’s extended experience in CPAP therapies, his patient’s benefit from expertise with over 45 years of accumulated knowledge. This depth of experience with CPAP equipment ensures that his staff can help even the most reluctant user. Additionally, patients interested or in need of alternative interventions for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are directed to specialists in surgery or oral appliances.
