I tend to sleep every 30 minutes both in the day and at night time. I can barely stay awake for long periods of time. What could be the cause of this issue and how would I solve it?

If you are allowing plenty of sleep time during the night, you may need naps because of a sleep disorder. If you allow plenty of time and do not have a disorder, then typically you should awaken refreshed.
