How does a CPAP work?

Video Overview

Hi, my name is Dr. Dane Kinghorn. I'm a general dentist practicing dentistry at Belgrade Dental Associates. We have been serving the Gallatin Valley for ten years now. How does a CPAP work? A CPAP, known as continuous positive airway pressure, is a device that is often prescribed by a sleep physician for patients that have suffered from sleep apnea. These devices function as a mask that you wear over your nose and your mouth at night and this device will actually force air down your throat throughout the night alleviating the symptoms of sleep apnea.
