Board Certified Sleep Doctor Anil Mattoo, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Sleep Diagnostics Group, LLC Sleep Lab in Stony Brook, New York. The Sleep Diagnostics Group strives to provide the highest possible quality of patient care in a friendly, safe, and secure environment. We have made it a norm to maintain long term relationships with our patients and strive to improve our patients’ overall quality of health, rather than just provide more restful and healthy sleep. Sleep Diagnostic Group is fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), the leading sleep medical society that is dedicated to upholding extremely high standards of excellence in sleep research, education, and health care.

The three core tenants that the Sleep Diagnostics Group adheres to in treating our sleep patients are quality of care, timeliness, and customer service. In order to ensure the highest quality of patient care, all of our sleep studies are only performed by Board Certified Sleep Doctors such as Dr. Mattoo. We then provide our patients’ referring doctors with the finalized interpretations of these studies in order for the proper treatment and prescriptions to be provided.

To further ensure high standards of care, all sleep study patient scoring is conducted by registered polysomnographic technologists who have full certification. We also provide patients with follow up treatments in a one on one meeting with one of our board certified sleep doctors. Our staff then monitors our patients for compliance with their treatments at 30, 60, and 90 day examination intervals and all irregularities are immediately brought to the attention of our own board certified sleep doctors as well as with the patient’s referring doctor.

In addition to maintaining exceptional levels of quality patient care, Sleep Diagnostics Group is dedicated to timeliness and customer care. As such, we strive for 72 hour turnaround times for all of our sleep studies. We also ensure that sleep study results are communicated with patients’ referring doctors in a timely matter so that all treatments can be expeditiously administered. Our staff also strives to maintain the most comfortable experience possible for each patient. They also handle all insurance authorization and referral letters for the convenience of our patients.

Anil Mattoo, M.D is the Medical Director at Sleep Diagnostics Group, LLC. In addition to being Board Certified in Sleep Medicine, Dr. Mattoo is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Critical Care Medicine, the American Board of Pulmonary Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Doctor Mattoo earned his Medical Degree from the Government Medical College in Srinagar, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Melrose Park, Illinois at the Rush Westlake Residency program. He served as the Chief Resident while conducting his residency at Rush Westlake.

Dr. Mattoo completed his fellowships in Sleep Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Pulmonary Medicine in Mineola, New York at Winthrop University Hospital. He then worked in an underserved community in Las Vegas, Nevada where he practiced sleep medicine, critical care, pulmonary, and internal medicine at the Redrock Medical Group for 5 years. Dr. Mattoo also served as the Medical Director of the Sleep Lab, the Intensive Care Unit, and the Pulmonary Department at Spring Valley Hospital.

Dr. Mattoo has earned praise for his contributions to medicine. He earned two Certificates of Merit for his outstanding work in academic activities from the Government Medical College. He also earned the Teaching and Service Award from the Rush-Westlake Residency Program.
