Can you prevent snoring?

Video Overview

Can you prevent snoring? Answer. Yes. There are two main treatments for snoring. The first made by dentists is dental appliance or oral appliance that you snap on your teeth at night to your bottom jaw forward, pulling your tongue forward, and opening up your airway. The second treatment done by an ear, nose and throat specialist will be a surgery to remove any tissues at the back of your airway that you don't need, including tonsil adenoids or even trimming the soft palate and firming the soft palate or even shrinking the base of the tongue forward. The main worry with snoring is that you will also have obstructive sleep apnea, which is treated mostly by using continuous positive airway pressure treatment called CPAP. This is a device where you wear a mask on your face like a fighter pilot and you blow in air at the same rate that you suck in air so that your airways stay open.
