This question was asked in Concord, New Hampshire on 06/26/2013.
I have no insurance and I cant sleep. I've tried melatonin. I've tried trazodone. I've tried exercise. I don't drink coffee or anything containing caffeine. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do?

Getting to sleep can be difficult for many people. When using melatonin as a sleep aide you need to take it about 3 hours before you want to go to sleep. So, if your desired bedtime is 10:00 p.m. take 3mg of melatonin at 7p.m. Benadryl and Tylenol P.M. can be used for a limited time to help you get to sleep. Yoga and meditation can also help. Make sure that your bedroom is dark, slightly cool and used only for sleeping or sexual activity. Also, avoid using your computer or Kindle type of devices 1hour before bedtime, since the screens interfere with melatonin absorption.
