Bipap or CPAP?

This question was asked in Center Grove, Iowa on 03/26/2013.
Bipap or CPAP? I am wondering if a Bipap would be a better choice instead of CPAP for my sleep apnea. My overnight oximetry was below 90, 92% of the time

BIPAP is most effective for Hypoventilation as suggested by your O2 sats. You would still need a baseline sleep study to evaluate why your baseline sats are below 90%. Also, there are different types of apnea, each responding better to different forms of PAP therapy.
